In short: the site uses no cookies or analytics, the apps don't send your text or your clipboard anywhere, and payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy.
The site
- It uses no cookies, has no visitor analytics and no forms to fill in. It only remembers, in your browser, the language you choose for the site.
- The fonts are hosted on the site itself: your browser doesn't contact outside services such as Google Fonts.
- The site is hosted by Vercel, which records data such as IP address and browser type in its logs for technical and security reasons.
The apps
- Clip Lab keeps the clipboard history only on your Mac, in the Library/Application Support/ClipLab folder, and sends it to no one. The text in copied images is also read on the Mac, with macOS's own text recognition, and saved in the same history: images are not sent to any service. The same goes for the assistant: it uses Apple Intelligence, the model macOS keeps on the Mac, and the text it works on never leaves the computer. Copies that password managers mark as confidential are not recorded.
- PadLab++ saves open tabs and backups of unsaved text only on your Mac, in the Library/Application Support/PadLab folder.
- The apps contain no usage analytics, advertising or tracking.
License
The apps contact our license service, hosted on Vercel, at three moments:
- On first launch, to register the start of the trial. They send the app's name and a code that identifies the Mac: a cryptographic fingerprint of its hardware identifier, which contains neither your name nor other personal data. It keeps the trial from starting over when the app is reinstalled. We keep only the trial's start date, tied to that code.
- When you activate a license, they also send the license key and the Mac's name (to show you which computers it's active on). The service checks them with Lemon Squeezy, which manages the licenses.
- Every few days, if you're online, they confirm the license again with the same data.
Nothing else: not your text, not your clips, no usage statistics.
Purchases
The data you enter when you buy (name, email, payment details) is processed by Lemon Squeezy, acting as reseller, under its own privacy policy. From the store dashboard we receive the buyer's name and email, which we use only for support and licenses.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete the data about you by replying to the order confirmation email. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
